The Madison County Courthouse

The Madison County Courthouse

Madison County Commissioners
#17 Seth Thomas tower clock mechanism restoration and dial restoration
London, Ohio

The Madison County Courthouse, designed by Columbus architect George H. Maetzel, was constructed in 1892. The building is three stories tall and was built on Berea Sandstone foundation. In 1974 after a tornado damaged the courthouse tower, the #17 Seth Thomas tower clock was removed. After years of problems with the modern mechanism running, their four 8-foot clock dials, the Madison County Commissioners hired us to restore their original #17 Seth Thomas tower clock movement and fabricate new four 8-foot dials to match the original.
